Marine Pacific Petroleum, Inc. (MPP) is a Panamanian company committed to excellence in maritime construction, transportation, and related services for select clients in Panama, Central America, and the Caribbean.

Our trajectory

JAMES WIESE, CEO and founder of MPP has more than 40 years of experience in business leadership in the construction industry. Initially focused on supporting the construction needs of the US Army Corps of Engineers and the former Panama Canal Commission.

In the last 25 years, he has specialized in the construction of infrastructure of ports and related services.

In 1995, he founded Intercoastal Marine, Inc. (IMI), an offshore construction contractor company. Under his direction, the firm negotiated and entered into contracts to build much of the vast expansion of port infrastructure at the Atlantic and Pacific entrances to the Panama Canal.

Notable projects include container terminals, a cruise port, fuel transfer docks, ferry landing ports, breakwaters, and canal shore protection.
